These projects have been just right for me, an intermediate beginner. Projects have been just a bit out of my comfort zone - challenging but have learned so much from them. I really enjoy painting the assignments and getting Nicola’s feedback. Highly recommend.
Nicola is a highly skilled and gifted watercolour artist herself, but she also knows how to teach. She offers topics that give us opportunities to learn new skills, and whilst the subjects themselves may not be what ‘buzz’ us as individuals, if we follow her directions in the lessons we realise that we can use what we have learned to paint subjects that inspire us. In my personal experience, her comments on my work are always thoughtful and encouraging….which always inspire me to keep going!
I am loving this project. I appreciate the deadline and being given an image. It looks simple but it is not. Thankfully, I had watched your videos from a few years ago so I had a small idea of where to start. I tried watercolor because it scared me the most. I gave up last summer after making many terrible skies. Your video feedback was helpful. If I had not signed up I would not have tried again on my own. Great idea, thank you

A bit more about me.
I originally trained as a graphic artist and then followed a different career path working in the media, travel and public relations.
After time working in these areas spent in both London and Paris, I moved into interior design, specialist painting effects and creating murals for clients in both the UK and overseas.
Now living in the south of France I continue with all of that but now also teach people how to paint in watercolours on painting holidays. teaching via the internet, film making and helping people with their marketing and promotional activities.
